This game is the reason why I bought my 3DS in the first place! (Okay, well, maybe not the whole reason, but one of the biggest.) I love all the Phoenix Wright games for DS. I’ve played all of them, including Apollo Justice, and Investigations. I don’t own any of them, sadly, but I guarantee that I will own this game. (I do own Professor Layton and the Curious Village, by the way. It’s the only game in the series I have played, but I would love to play the others as well sometime.) The game takes place in Labyrinth City. Phoenix Wright decides to defend one of the many witches on trial there. Just released, along with screen shots, is the name of the girl on trial: Mahoney, and the prosecutor: Jeeken. (Who has some damn epic armor.) Somehow the two characters (Layton and Wright) meet in the city, but Layton’s role we don’t actually know specifically yet.
Unfortunately, a US release hasn’t actually been confirmed yet. But, I’m not going to let that stop me! That might mean buying a Japanese 3DS, but if this game is as awesome as it looks, admit it, it’s totally worth it! At least, we can all drool over the new screenshots that were just released a couple days ago while we wait for them to confirm said release!

Finger pointing is so damn cool.

Phoenix with that same serious stare.

Maya looks like her good old self!

A old man in armor, an arrogant lady with a...is that a sheep?

Team Village Huddle! Or something to that extent?

Epic armor! And...how much do you want to bet
he has a giant ass sword in his hand?

So cute and innocent, Mahoney. You're not really a witch, are you?

I love the style. I think they did a wonderful job of putting both the games 2D styles together but at the same time making it 3D. The artwork captures both games both characters just seem to fit to one game. It never thought the concept of putting these two games together was weird.

Though released some time ago, I highly advise you, if you haven’t already, to watch the trailer: here. It’s probably one of the most epic things I’ve ever seen. It has put my expectations pretty high. So, if this games sucks (which is won’t) I’ll be very surprised. They’re both awesome games and both involve point and clicking to solve some kind of mystery. Together they might just make one of the best games in this genre! Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...
